About me

Love and Lemonade – The Fizzy Little Card Company was set up in 2011 by Illustrator and Mum of 2 Kate Evans, from her home studio in Wellington, Somerset. Specialising In Personalised Handpainted Cards and Printed Greeting Cards.
“As a mum, I love to buy presents for my children that are personalised with their names... My eldest son has an unusually spelt name, and I could never find a card that had his name on. In 2011 I decided to design my own card for his birthday, and from there Love and Lemonade was born. Initially I designed personalised paintings and cards, and as the business has developed I have focussed on the cards as the primary direction for the business.
I am passionate about hand drawn art. It seems to be something of a dying skill these days – to draw with a pencil or pen on paper – but I adore it. I always have a pencil and pad with me- and I am always doodling and creating new card designs. I dream of the day that the business has grown, and I can spend all my time creating – with a fabulous team to do the I.T., P.R, Marketing and all the other roles us start-up mumpreneurs do ourselves.
2012 is a very exciting year for Love and Lemonade. I am increasing my range of designs for the personalised cards. I have designed my first range of printed cards, and I am developing a range of ‘Draw Your Own’ Card making kits – so that everyone can get drawing and create their own cards and invitations with their hand drawn artwork!
I adore when an order comes through for a personalised card – a new name, a slightly different design, a unique and personal gift to keep; I love creating bright and cheerful designs for printed cards, and I am so excited about the card making kits (which my eldest son is working on with me – a total privilege for this proud mum!).
Love and Lemonade was born from having children, is inspired every day by having children and I hope to make my children proud of what their mum has achieved and plans to achieve in the future.
