About the materials.

Originally designed as protective net for use on construction sites, the net that doesn’t meet safety standards is sold off as “faulty” at the markets. It then becomes multipurpose: people buy it for drying rice, for fishing, or to protect cows from mosquitoes. Smateria purchased rolls of this “mosquito net” to manufacture amazing bags and accessories.

Everything produced by Cambodian fair trade design house Smateria takes waste out of the environment. Recycled mosquito net, plastic bags, motorbike seats and material salvaged from textile recycling are upcycled and complimented with high quality detail to produce these unique and handmade sustainable bags & accessories.
